Have you seen an RS7 in the wild yet? I have not.

I only see the regular A7 around town. And I swear 9 out of 10 times the driver is a complete asshat.

They should have downsized the S65 from 4.0L to 3.6L, added direct injection and cylinder deactivation and supercharged it.

Then it would still sound good, been more powerful, and got better gas mileage.

They couldn't do that though. Reason is they couldn't make a N/A I6 that would be more powerful than the S65 that would fit in the engine bay.

The S65 is 4.0L. A N/A I6 would need to be at least 3.8L to have a shot of beating the S65's performance. And a 3.8L I6 would be too long to fit in the 3 Series.

Now if it was a V6 or H6 it would fit...

Ew no V6 please. In theory, what they put in the car is supposed to be amazing, and the best choice. But they've just muffled it so much that it's lost all of it's soul.

But the 1.75L turbo 4 in the 4C is better in my opinion.

All I know is that the authority on engine sound is YSI. You can ask him what the best sounding engine of any era and any number of cylinders and layout is and he knows.

I will keep my eyes peeled for the real deal. I swear every time I see someone driving an A7 they have RS 7 envy. They drive really aggressive and tailgate everyone (including me).
